Severed Ties is a four-piece metalcore band from the south suburbs of Chicago. The band was founded collectively by all four members in 2017 with the intention of making heavy music while keeping catchy and groovy elements involved. Severed Ties blend the modern elements of metalcore and hardcore to create something new, using deep, prevalent bass lines, a mixture of quick riffs, heavy breakdowns, and punching drums. The band takes an honest and literal approach to lyrical content in order to get the message and emotion across to the listener.
